We had the BCLT summer school a few weeks
ago and it’s been a busy summer generally, so it’s time for me to decompress a
bit before getting ready for the new academic year. See you back here soon and
have a good August!

I am an under-graduated student and I believe the same. I used to think about translation as word for word activity and has nothing to do with thinking and preparing until I had to translate by myself numerous psychological research papers. I have realized it was much more complicated than I thought. Indeed, understanding the text itself took me a while and preparing the terminologies as well, regardless the difficulties that faced me in transmitting the exact idea. However, the enrolled Translation courses are feeding my knowledge with theories and strategies to assist my translation skills.
