Translation Course at Arvon

A few years back, I went on a wonderful writing course at Lumb Bank, one of the Arvon foundation’s centers. It was a beautiful location and I really enjoyed my week there. Now, for the first time, Arvon is running a translation course, with Michael Henry Heim, Anthea Bell, and Sasha Dugdale. It should be fantastic and I hope some of you can attend it.

I find this very appealing. I assume, however, that the course is not done over the internet, am I right?

Right, you go there and spend the week. It's a wonderful place to go!

Best wishes,

Oh, if only I were in the EU... There seem to be so many more good opportunities for translator education! Perhaps a relocation is in my future... Thanks for the temptation!

Maybe there is something like that near where you live, Carolyn. Or maybe you could help start it!

Best wishes,
BJ

I wish I could go but I don't think it's going to be cheap travelling all the way from Argentina and staying there for a week. I actually wouldn't mind if I had the money. I don't mind spending it on education. It's just that at the moment I'm more concerned with making ends meet.

But hey! Maybe next year! And like Carolyn said, thanks for the temptation!
