International Translation Day

Today is the feast day of St. Jerome and as he’s the patron saint of translators, that means today is International Translation Day. There are lots of events going on around the UK (and elsewhere, of course). How will you celebrate?

Let’s all find a way of honouring translators and translations today!

Hey! Looking for language blogs and stumbled upon yours. I was a French major and have sort-of self-learned Swedish and very basic Farsi. I see you lived in southern Sweden for 5.5 years? Malmo, by chance? That's where my wife is from and we spend lots of time there, as well. Looking forward to perusing the rest of the blog.

PS - I also lived in Chicago for a few years in my mid-20s!

No, not Malmö, though I did teach there. I lived in Helsingborg, not far from there.
